SPRING IS HERE!

FREE FRIDAY NIGHT BIKE MOVIES AT CURTIS HALL

Get in the mood for the spring biking season and Bike Month in May! Ferris Wheels Bike Shop and Boston City Councilor John Tobin are bringing movie night to the Curtis Hall Community Center at 20 South Street (first floor meeting room), Jamaica Plain.

The three-movie theme is "bicycles on the silver screen," just in time to inspire Boston residents to get on a bike and get in shape.

Friday, April 4: American Flyers, starring Kevin Costner (1985).
Cyclist Marcus Sommers persuades his unstable brother David to come with him and train for a bicycle race across the Rocky Mountains. Features great views of the Rockies and an insight in the tactics of bicycle races. PG-13.

Friday, April 18: Breaking Away, starring Dennis Quaid and Dennis Christopher (1979).
Four teenagers in Bloomington, Indiana, who have graduated from high school, are not sure what they want to do with their lives. One of the boys is obsessed with cycling and seeks to find himself through competitive cycling. Academy Award winner. PG.

Friday, May 2: The Flying Scotsman, starring Jonny Lee Miller (2006).
Based on the true story of Scottish cyclist Graeme Obree who, in 1993 as an unemployed amateur, broke the world one-hour record on a bike of his own revolutionary design, which he constructed out of scrap metal and parts of a washing machine. PG-13.

All movies will start at 6:30 pm.
Free!
Popcorn and soda will be available.
All movies are rated PG or PG-13

Training Rides

Pace line training rides, Tuesdays and Thursdays, March through October.

Meet at Ferris Wheels at 7:00 AM. Fast-paced rides last approximately 90 minutes.
